About

A taught process, not a therapy.

This training teaches Marshall Rosenberg's process of nonviolent communication — observation, feeling, need, request, empathy — and its use in the helping relationship, without ever making it a therapyThe NVC equips the practitioner's listening and expression; it does not treats nothing and does not diagnoses nothing.

Who this course is for

For practitioners and future practitioners in complementary therapies (naturopathy, phytotherapy, reflexology, massage, support…) who wish to listen better to the people they receive, set their framework without harshness, navigate difficult exchanges and know when to refer. No prerequisites.

What NVC is, and what it is not

Nonviolent communication is a process and a posture, formalized by Marshall Rosenberg and disseminated in the French-speaking world notably by Thomas d'Ansembourg. It is widely practiced; the studies that evaluate it remain limited, and documented criticisms exist (formulaic language, formalism). The training states this from the very first module and attributes each notion to its author.

Our safety framework

The backbone of the entire training: NVC is never a therapy, never replaces psychological or psychiatric follow-up, and is never a tool for managing danger. Violence, abuse, risk to a child, psychological distress: the training teaches how to refer without delay to the competent services, and an entire module is devoted to it.

Framework and limits. This training conveys a communication method with a pedagogical aim. It replaces neither psychotherapy, nor medical or psychiatric advice for any acute, severe or persistent psychological suffering, and does not constitute training as a psychotherapist within the meaning of Swiss law. All the cases presented are fictitious.
